VesselPort operates a fully structured brokerage process from initial enquiry to transaction closing. All engagements are governed by commercial confidentiality agreements as a default position.
The VesselPort sale process is structured to protect both seller and buyer interests throughout. The following framework applies to all vessel sale transactions facilitated through VesselPort.
Charter enquiries are matched against available vessels in the VesselPort portfolio. The charter process follows a parallel verification structure to sale transactions, adapted for time-charter, voyage-charter and bareboat arrangements.
VesselPort applies a structured compliance framework to all parties engaging in transactions through the platform. The following policies are enforced as a minimum standard.
Full vessel specifications, class records, survey reports, ownership documentation and pricing guidance are withheld until a Non-Disclosure Agreement has been executed between the prospective buyer and DeltaWind Solutions.
This policy protects sellers from speculative enquiries and ensures that sensitive commercial information is disclosed only to parties who have demonstrated a genuine commercial interest in the transaction.
VesselPort does not publish full technical documentation on the listing page. Summary information is provided to facilitate initial interest. Full specifications are a privileged document.
All buyers and sellers engaging through VesselPort are subject to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) requirements. Individual identification and corporate registration documentation are required from all parties.
Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) disclosure is required for all corporate entities participating in transactions above a defined threshold. VesselPort reserves the right to decline any engagement where documentation cannot be satisfactorily provided.
VesselPort conducts sanctions screening checks on all transaction parties using publicly available OFAC, UN and EU sanctions lists as a minimum standard. Transactions involving sanctioned individuals, entities or vessels are declined without exception.
Vessel flag state compliance, IMO number verification and ownership history review are conducted as part of the listing verification process for all vessels published on VesselPort.
VesselPort does not directly hold client funds. All transactions are facilitated on an escrow-ready basis, meaning that the fund transfer sequence, nominated institution and release conditions are agreed and documented before any payment instruction is issued.
VesselPort provides guidance on appropriate escrow structures for commercial vessel transactions and can facilitate introduction to suitable escrow service providers upon request from transaction parties.

DeltaWind Solutions provides a comprehensive range of marine brokerage and asset advisory services to vessel owners, operators, charterers and investors across Nigeria, West Africa and internationally.
VesselPort provides structured sale brokerage for commercial vessels across all asset classes, from harbour tugs and crew boats to offshore supply vessels, container feeders and anchor handling tugs. All sale transactions are managed under a formal brokerage mandate covering marketing, buyer screening, documentation and closing.
Our sale brokerage service is exclusively focused on verified, documented transactions. Speculative or undocumented listings are not accepted onto the platform.
We facilitate time-charter, voyage-charter and bareboat arrangements for commercial vessels deployed in West African and international waters. Charter enquiries are matched against the active VesselPort portfolio and third-party vessels where required.
We represent both owners seeking employment for their vessels and charterers with specific operational requirements. In all cases, VesselPort manages the process under a structured mandate to protect both parties.
DeltaWind Solutions provides indicative commercial valuation assessments for offshore vessels, tugs, barges, crew boats and cargo vessels operating in West African markets. Valuations are provided for the purpose of sale pricing guidance, financing support, insurance reference and portfolio management.
All valuations are desktop assessments based on market intelligence, recent comparable transactions and vessel condition information provided by the owner. Physical inspection-based formal appraisals can be arranged through appointed marine surveyors.
For buyers seeking specific vessel types in West African or international markets, DeltaWind Solutions provides dedicated buy-side brokerage representation. We identify suitable vessels, conduct initial assessment, manage NDA and disclosure, and represent the buyer's interests through offer and closing.
Buyers engaging VesselPort on a representation basis benefit from exclusive access to off-market vessel opportunities and priority introductions within the DeltaWind Solutions network.
Vessel owners engaging DeltaWind Solutions as their exclusive or non-exclusive broker receive a structured marketing and sales programme. We manage buyer qualification, filter speculative enquiries, and present the vessel to credible prospects with purchasing or chartering capacity.
Our seller representation mandate is designed to protect the owner's commercial position throughout the process and to achieve the best commercially available outcome within the agreed mandate period.
VesselPort provides documentation and compliance support to facilitate smooth vessel transactions in West African jurisdictions, with specific experience in Nigerian maritime regulatory requirements including NIMASA compliance, Nigerian cabotage regulations and port state control documentation.
We assist sellers in organising and presenting their vessel documentation package to meet VesselPort's verified listing standards and to satisfy buyer due diligence requirements.
DeltaWind Solutions coordinates physical vessel inspections and survey access for qualified buyers and charterers. We arrange logistics, port access, vessel attendance and surveyor introductions as part of the brokerage process. Where buyers prefer to appoint their own surveyor, we facilitate access and liaise with the seller on their behalf.
Remote video survey arrangements are available for international buyers conducting preliminary assessments prior to travel and physical inspection.

VesselPort is the marine brokerage marketplace division of DeltaWind Solutions, a registered maritime services company operating across Nigeria and West Africa.
DeltaWind Solutions operates as a registered commercial entity providing structured maritime brokerage services across Nigeria, the Gulf of Guinea and the broader West African maritime corridor. Our marine brokerage division, marketed under the VesselPort brand, was established to address a clear gap in the regional market for an institutional-grade vessel transaction platform.
The West African offshore and shipping sector has historically lacked a structured, transparent intermediary platform for commercial vessel transactions. VesselPort addresses this by combining regional market knowledge with rigorous brokerage standards aligned with international maritime practice.
Our client base includes offshore oil and gas operators, port authorities, marine contractors, shipping companies and government agencies requiring commercial vessels for specific operational mandates.
For vessel enquiries, charter requests, listing submissions or brokerage consultations, contact the DeltaWind Solutions brokerage desk directly.
